Comments: Hi. I'm a 68 yr old Nam vet. Served w/ the 25th Inf Div in Cu Chi 69-70. I was born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1950 and moved to Salem, Oregon in 1955. I'm thinking of moving back to Canada but am hesitant of the Health care. I'm 100% Disability w/ USA VA & I don't know if VA down here would pay for health care in Canada. Does anyone on this site know? God bless. Paul.
Admin reply: Hello Paul It is a little complicated but there is a reciprocal agreement between VA and VAC in Canada for service connected disabilities. Not positive but you may have to visit VA in USA once a year to maintain your benefits.

Comments: I was in Viet Nam with the 101stAB 67-68 and belong to the Canadian Legion Branch 66 Toronto and thought the article "Born on the First of July" Jan/Feb was right on and very interesting. We all left our home country and came back different men and women. I have no regrets serving my Country but feel sad for all the families that lost love ones. Thanks again for the great article. The last two years of my enlistment was spent on the USS FOX (DLG 33) and I served in Vietnam the last Six months of my enlistment. I am looking forward to joining soon! Comments: Hi Ron. Was nice talking with you a while back about the Vet plates issue. I give you great credit for standing up. The Legion here in Manitoba and in Ottawa, leaves a lot to be desired in regards of supporting those who wore the uniform. I will keep fighting for changes. My experience has been horrible. Keep up the good work. Salute. Thank you guys for your service.
Admin reply: Yes the "Royal Canadian Legion" has never been friends of Canadian Vietnam Veterans and have stuck a knife in our back every chance they got.
