volunteered for deployment to Vietnam as an FMF (Fleet
Marine Force) Hospital Corpsman

Honorably discharged in late 1970 as
medically retired, service-connected disabled after being
seriously injured and spending six months in Great Lakes
(Illinois) Naval Hospital
-
Began providing online assistance in 1991
for Vietnam and Gulf War veterans seeking Veterans Affairs
or Social Security disability benefits
-
Founded the Minnesota Platoon and the
Military Salute Project in 2003 to honor America’s Armed
Forces, support the families of Minnesota’s Fallen and
provide military and veterans protocol information

Started Operation Email in 2005 to
maintain contact with military personnel deployed around the
world

Coordinated or assisted with numerous
patriotic events nationwide, including 2007 Echo Taps
Worldwide, the 2008 Honor and Remember Ride to Washington
and the 2009 Remember The Fallen Tribute

Member of the Patriot Guard Riders and
the Warrior Brotherhood Motorcycle Club

Honorary member of the Bandido Charlie
Association, Bugles Across America and the Minnesota
Memorial Riders

Provides protocol advice and other
support for several organizations, including the Dairyland
Outdoor Veterans Retreat (Dairyland, Wisconsin) and the
United States Military Historical Collection (Kandiyohi,
Minnesota)
